At Tarzan Diving, safety is at the heart of everything we do. All of our equipment, including boat engines, dive gear, compressors, and scuba tanks, is regularly serviced and maintained according to industry standards. This includes routine engine and compressor servicing, equipment maintenance, and hydrostatic testing of scuba tanks. Raja Ampat is known for its currents, making it a more challenging dive destination. Every diver, regardless of certification level, completes a check dive in calm conditions before entering current dive sites. We ensure all equipment, whether rental or personal, is functioning correctly and that divers are familiar with using it. We also assess buoyancy, diving experience, comfort in the water, and any physical concerns, such as equalization issues, before planning dives according to each diver's experience and ability. We dive in small groups, with even smaller groups for beginners. Every dive begins with a detailed briefing covering the dive site, underwater map, dive plan, and hand signals. We follow PADI safety standards, stay within recreational dive limits, avoid decompression dives, and promote responsible diving by never touching marine life or coral, protecting both the reef and divers from potentially venomous species. All guides carry Surface Marker Buoys (SMBs) for every ascent, although we strongly recommend bringing your own SMB in case you become separated from the group. We also provide reef hooks for every diver, allowing you to safely and comfortably enjoy current dives. Our boats are equipped with life jackets, 100% emergency oxygen, a comprehensive first aid kit, and drinking water to help prevent dehydration. The crew is trained in emergency procedures, first aid, and emergency communication, and remains in contact with the dive center throughout every trip. Safety is also the responsibility of every diver. Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited before diving. Please be honest about your physical and mental condition.
